Waiting, Waiting, Just Playing the Waiting Game
So last week I had 3 different interviews. The first on Tuesday was for a Service Leader position with CY. I'll probably not get this position or won't accept it. The other position was also for CY, but it's a Recruitment spot. That is the one that if I do stay with CY, I'd be interested in. They are pretty much in charge of getting people to apply to City Year. Both positions would pay more and they would start toward the end of July or begining of August.
The third interview was really good. It's with an organization called Avodah which is the Jewish Service Corps. Hopefully I will get this. If I get this spot then I will be in Chicago, which is kind of a place where I would like to live. I would be living with the other members of the program. We would get paid around $300, but not have to pay for rent or utilities. The program would be for a full year which would be cool.
On Wednesday I find out what CY and Avodah will offer me. So just keeping my fingers crossed.
I am looking forward to my birthday which is coming up soon. Yesterday it was 3 weeks to the day. I am going to be out in LA for the 30-31 and then headed to Las Vegas for that weekend. It'll be nice to party with firneds and hang out. Plus seeing the folks and having a good time with them will be awesome. We are seeing KA which is one of the Cirque de Soleil shows.
If anyone who reads this is interested in hanging out leave a comment or send an email to kingschecter@yahoo.com and let me know.
I think that is it for now. Hope all is well and wish me luck. -Peace
